Kestrel Manor Secondary School

Kestrel Manor Secondary school is an integrated co- educational school offering the British National Curriculum to regular students and students with learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, ADHD, ADD and Social and Communication difficulties.

The school offers a wide range of subjects for the IGCSE level qualifications from Year 7 to Year 11. We provide excellent teaching, therapies and pastoral support for our students and aim to find the best in every student, build up their confidence, encourage social awareness and help nurture their talents. We prepare our students for further education and vocational training.

We offer students the opportunity to achieve the best by providing stimulating and personalised learning opportunities in an environment that is friendly, calm, safe, supportive, caring and nurturing.

Curriculum

We offer the British National Curriculum which is adapted to meet the needs of our students. We offer Key stage 3 and 4 to our high school students. A balanced programme in Key Stage 3 enables students to experience all subjects before selecting those to study at IGCSE level. At the end of Year 9, students sit for the Edexcel lower secondary awards in Maths, Commerce/Economics, English and Science. In addition to the above subjects, we offer Geography, Business Studies, Art and Design, Information Technology, Music and Global Citizenship. In Key Stage 4, students select the subjects to study for the IGCSE exams. The British National Curriculum enables students to respond positively to the many challenges and responsibilities facing them. It prepares students for the next step in their education, training and employment.
